Create Safe Spaces
An in depth research about the causes for student drop outs concluded that some of the reasons for this were; sexual harassment, corporal punishment, child abuse.Thus, we took it upon ourselves to help the students and the community to whatever extent possible to resolve this issue. We developed a program called Create Safe Spaces, with an objective of teaching the children their Rights: To teach them to voice their concerns. Educate them regarding child abuse, against sexual harassment and how to address their problems to different forums.
These workshops were conducted for teachers of other schools as well, to help them spread awareness and overcome such issues.
Youth Volunteer Division
Nayi Disha has had more than 100 volunteers from the NCR region, who volunteer their time running various projects for the children of both our schools, and the extended community.

Community Service
Nayi Disha generated funds through various donors and distributed meals, dry rations, clothes, soaps, hand wash, sanitary napkins, to the residents of the Bastis who lost their jobs and needed support. We provided for them till they were able to get back to their jobs and earn for themselves.
We continue to provide daily health check ups to the families residing in both the Bastis of our schools, and have carried out multiple vaccination drives for their well-being, as well.
Empowering Community Women to Self Sustain
Nayi Disha has also been engaged with women from different parts of NCR, who stitched cloth bags and supplied them to individuals as well as schools across Gurgaon. They have showcased their skills and helped us reach a greater part of the public through our Anti-plastic Campaigns. And have also provided us with hand-stitched masks for the students and teachers of Nayi Disha during the pandemic.
Nayi Disha Library
To encourage all children to read, we established a library in our schools. The genres range from non-fiction and science to fiction and tales. Our library is open to all children of the community to encourage an environment of fun education.
We are grateful to Simply HR for sponsoring the Library to ensure that all children learn and enjoy reading.
Computer Lab
Nayi Disha also believes in the importance of digital literacy, which is why we have established computer labs in both our schools. Each child gets an opportunity to learn the basics of operating a computer, as well as online education through platforms like Khan Academy and Gyantantra.
The setting up of these labs in both our schools would not have been possible without Ambience Interiors Pvt Ltd. and CTBC Bank Co Ltd.
After School Learning Centers
We have developed a program and are running online After School Learning Centers for middle school children currently studying in Government Schools, to help enhance their life chances for better socio-economic development.
NIOS (National Institute of Open School)
In our senior school, we have taken upon us the task of teaching children and preparing them for the exams held by NIOS. This is to further enable them to seek admissions in schools. This is also helpful for those students who are overage, to study and obtain class X and XII certificate.
